On
13th November 2021, 5:00 pm afternoon, executive committee meeting
of BPMCA members took place in the association’s conference room. Association’s
president MA Mubin Khan presided over the meeting. The meeting focused on the
contribution of the association towards proliferation of private healthcare and
education in Bangladesh. The association decided on the meeting to arrange
honorary certification giving ceremony where certifications would be awarded to
the medical practitioners who performed relentlessly to provide medical aid to
the Covid infected patients. It was proposed in the meeting that the
certifications would be awarded by the Honorable Health Minister. Besides a
round table meeting is planned with the honorable health minister on ensuring
Quality of Medical Education. Moreover
another meeting is also proposed by the committee with the Honorable Health
Minister on undertaking preparatory measures for combating third wave of
Covid-19 in Bangladesh.
In
order to affiliate the MBBS undergraduate courses under the supervision of the
BSMMU a ministerial meeting was organized by the Ministry of Health and Family
Welfare. Association’s president MA Mubin Khan on 28th October
participated to that meeting and represented the association by giving his
valuable opinions in the said meeting. BSSMU was established in the year of
1998 and transformed into a full-fledged Medical University. But due to
organizational limitations BSSMU couldn’t undertake the undergraduate medical
courses. If the affiliation proposal is granted by the govt. BSMMU can initiate
the undergraduate medical courses from 2021-2022 session year. But the
undergraduate courses for session year of 2020-2021 may be permitted to be
completed under the supervision of Dhaka University administration.
